Just out o curiousoty, is this a place where we can just put random stuff? Like news or funny things?
Here's one. My dad was weighing suitcases for a trip;maximum 23 kg.
The old weighing scales said 28. So did the rest of the suitcases.
We finally managed to figure out he was reading the pounds and stones, when my sister weighed hers again, after eamptying some out, and reading 12 kgs.
Smart one, eh?
He he he.
Random or what?

some people are obcesed by their cars as a status symbol
so here is a parady of dr suiss poetry

Now, the Lambo-Door cars,
Had doors flung up high
While the Normal-Door cars
Had door flung out wide

Lambo doors weren't so great. There were more of a pain.
You might think such a thing would be held in disdain.

But, because they raised high, all the Lambo-Door cars
Would boast, "We're the best kind of car near or far!"
With their doors in the air, they would huff and they'd puff,
"We will not hang out with that Normal-Door Stuff"

When the Lambo-Door cars had frankfurter roasts
Car gatherings, shine-ups or wine-swilling toasts
All the Normal-Door cars got heavily snubbed,
They were never invited to join their Car Club.

Then ONE day, it happened, as the Lambo-doors feared
A stranger appeared, with the brightest idea
"My friends," he yelled in a voice clear and fast,
"Your problems are now a thing of the past!
I've heard of your sorrow, your need to be fly,
I've come here to help you, I'm the Body Kit Guy!

With frightening speed, and work that was shoddy
The Body Kit Guy changed the doors of their body!
With bondo and paint and body-kit filler
The Normal-Door Cars now had doors that were killer.

The Lambo-door cars were now quite distraught
What horrible things the body kits wrought,
Hondas and Vdubs, all commoners cars
Had doors that flung high, no longer afar.
You could no longer tell, comparing the two,
Which was well-bred or what one was who.

This just could not be, it all had to stop,
When up, once again, the man he did pop,
"My Lambo-door friends", the man slyly winked
"Things are never not nearly as bad as you think."

"With a nip and a tuck and some nice fiberglass,
You too can have doors not a pain in the ass.
You too will have doors to fling way out wide.
You too can now dent all the cars by your side."

And from that great day, on the roads of this nation,
All cars were made equal, like God's own creation.
The doors of the cars on the roads that surround us,
Could be had like all others, 'cept those of a bus.

Yes, I'm having the time of my life here in Europe.
Have you looked? I've put something in the shout box. Is anyone gonna shout back? You never know, I might here, over on the otherside of the world.
Sorry, this is meant to be for random stuff.
But I though this was random enough.

Mollytime

Gee, I hope I don't burn.

look at a very big garden centre called BosRand. There were so many plants, a lot of which we see in New Zealand, but also others which are European.

the google resolution(from 200 miles approx) is so good that i can see individual flowers and the pavement squares

There once was a man from Peru
Who dreamt he was eating his shoe
He woke in the night,
with a terrible fright,
and found it was perfectly true!

gah! where did I learn that?! I don't know, but it's been bugging me all day. This line has been annoying also:

'Beautiful words and bright new worlds may do me in'

I know it's off an ad, but I can't remember which!
Aaaah I hate memory troubles...
Does anyone else get them?

wait til you are my age with millions of memories to plague you
if a bad memory comes then try to find a pleasant one and deliberatly use it to drown the other

so nothing ever worries me except leadenrax

Many people have‘savant’ ability and mine is recognizing the sound of the older motors.
My own recent surprise was to hear a motor car racing past and though I should know it.
The car appeared to be vintage sports in the 1934 era.  It was 6 cylinders and going fast.
It was a week later I realized I had only heard the motor some 55 years ago at a vintage rally and it was a sunbeam motor but this time beautifully restored and new and going fast.
A search of the net showed I had seen a 1931 sunbeam 2 seater car

So here is a humorous tale from way back
This gent was telling every one that he could identify every car from the sound of its motor.
So his friends sat him down in a chair and blind folded him so he could not see any of the cars going past on the road.
All went well as he correctly identified a buick and its year a Hudson and its year and so on.
The party was amazed at his ability tell every car correctly till some one went to the toilet near by and flushed it.

Ahha he said a model T ford 1914

Kiwi favourite the Moro bar is the latest in a line of Cadbury products to soon be made offshore.

The news follows last week's furore over the production of Minties moving to Thailand, resulting in a change in the taste and texture of the chewy lolly.

With Moro - New Zealand's best-selling chocolate bar - Crunchie, Perky Nana, Jet Planes and Milk Shakes will soon be made in Melbourne. But never fear - Jaffas, Chocolate Fish and Pineapple Lumps will stay in Dunedin.

next thing they will be off shore the production of milk as the cows here fart too much and cost more because of kyoto  agreement

And I've finally figured it out!!! (p.s, this will make sense if you know that I am short)

sh-ort adj.    A word used by people of taller height to compare themselves to people of smaller stature in order to make themselves feel better.

I'm not short! I'm perfect just the way I am!!! haha!
