I know there hasn't been much ranting and raving on here for a while, but what the hell:
I'm Tykor. Well, since I know Miss Magic from IRC, and we talk whenever I get a chance to see her, I'm going to presume that I'm amongst friends here. So my real name is Linden, although I've been known to switch personalities with Tykor (my kind of alter-ego or split personality, comprised mostly out of anger and hatred so I can be all fluffy and cuddly )
I'm a writer, small time, in my free time and whenever I feel that the story I've been developing is "interesting" enough for other people to read. By the way, could I get a separate part of the board? I've already got a few stories I'd like some criticism on.
I'm still a student, hoping to go and study mechanical Engineering in Scotland next year. Otherwise not much to say really, unless anyone has any queries... oh, and that thing about the anger and hatred is thanks to a "relatively" turbulent past, which was largely due to me moving a lot with my father and mother.

Well, I guess that's it. Another thing I might have to add is that I try and come up with a good story, write a couple of chapters, and then abandon it because I feel that it's not interesting enough. I'm also kind of hopping of churning a book out some time in the future, although I'm going to have to do quite a bit of research to get all the facts straight.

Anyone who I've ever talked to says I take my life too seriously... which is completely untrue, otherwise I wouldn't be trying to make anyone I regularly talk to laugh with silly antics. Ask Miss Magic! She'll confirm!

Will you be continuing this story? Or is it the fact that Serpentine was dying that she never really got a chance to tell the whole story? And that blue light I'm guessing was an incredibly hot flame? And I wonder what Ravenna is trying to do... scout ahead to find a slave that will help her escape, or maybe transfer her consciousness to the slave that she's searching for so that she can deal with the Council... but then is how would she communicate to the person she wants to find, unless she can communicate telepathically...
Definitely a good read, and Wolf seems like he doesn't really belong there... so maybe he's the one Ravenna is searching for... I'll be waiting for the next update, if there will be one   

I'm amazed that you managed to remember all that from a dream... and a pretty unusual dream too, considering that you weren't really present except as an observer... never had that before...
Anyway, it sounds like a really interesting story, and I wonder if you'll be able to continue it. Maybe you'll continue the story with what you've already got... it could work!   

A dream I had.....

“Goin’ t’ Westland?” The man peered at Josef, barely making him out in the thick fog. Josef nodded and the man shrugged, turning back to the gloomy waterfront. A dim silhouette of the ship making it’s way towards them loomed in the distance.
  Around his neck, Chimmi rustled. Absently, Josef rubbed a hand across her scales, taking slight comfort in the warmth.
  “Is’t where ye got th’ dragon?” The strangers eyes were greedy as he watched Chimmi. ‘Vicious things, aint th’y; C’n do sure damage t’ a fellow’ His fingers clenched around the neck of the sack at his feet.
  “Only if they don’t like you…” Josef murmured, his cultured voice contrasting to the other mans slur. The dragon in question whistled contentedly, dropping an affectionate wing over Josef’s chest.
  The silence of the fog draped itself around them once more as the ship glided ever closer. As it bumped to the dock, Josef gathered his meagre pack and gently shook Chimmi awake. Sleepily, the dragon slid herself over to his other shoulder.
As Josef stepped on board, the stranger beside him grunted, heaving his pack onto the ship. To Josef it seemed unusually small for such a heavy load.
  He skirted the few other passengers, and made his way to the front of the ship, lowering his own pack to the floor. He stared out into the distance again, and for the briefest moment a spasm of grief washed over his face, before it was forced back into a blank expression. His knuckles clenched white as they gripped the railing. A moan slipping through his teeth could have been mistaken for the wind.
 There was a flurry of movement behind his back. Josef turned to face the strange man who had followed him to the prow. Before Josef could open his mouth, the man spoke, “Answer me this, boy,” he began, his eyes glinting, “What did it? What did you do, that caused sweet Mary to disappear? What reduced the handsome Giovanni to a scarred wreck?” He took a step forward, his voice flat and angry, “Why.”

The story magics has been removed. May I make a point that another story, the magics war, is NOT related to the eleven part magic story I have just removed.

I apologise again if anybody else wanted to read it. I will be attempting to publish it. As progress occurs, I will try to keep you all updated on THIS POST HERE. Thanks for all your feedback.
