[Miss Magic]

“Please concentrate Alia! Honestly, you’d think this was earth!”
Muttering, the teacher fanned her wings out and turned to the board, writing up the rules of Death.
Oblivious to this, the angel Alia stared out the window at the glistening white scenery. When she had been fatally shot at the age of fourteen, she had been under the human impression that heaven was perfect and that everyone floated around smiling at each other. To her annoyance, it was not like that at all.
Instead, heaven was more like an earthly super-city. Qualified angels flew about talking into headsets, whilst kids like her were stuck in school.
“Alia!”
The angel jerked, and swivelled in her chair to face the front,
“Yes?”
Her teacher frowned,
“I said, why is there a power shortage in Heaven?”
“Oh, um…”
Alia’s thoughts scattered, trying to remember the answer.
“Miss, it’s because the power in heaven runs by good deeds on earth, and currently good deeds are at an all time low- they’re down at 9 percent.”
“Thank you Ashley. I was beginning to worry that we would be here until morning service as miss Karshrow tried to answer.”
Alia’s cheeks flamed red as the other children laughed. There was another less-than-perfect aspect of heaven.
Luckily, the gong sounded, signalling the end of Work and classes. The young angels were out the door before the teacher could voice the dismissal, Alia at their head.

excelent start got me interested from the first 3 lines.
leaves you open for many different scerarios

on 'beyond space 'we had a story that we all write between us each person adding a sentence or word so some where on this forum  perhaps we could start this game.
